  3. What is CAP2 ?
  4.  
  5.      CAP2 is a Windows 3.x utility which allows you to 
  6.      capture your print to a queue on a Netware server.
  7.      You can change queue by klick on the new queue.
  8.      You can only print to a queue that has the right printer.
  9.      So you cannot print with the wrong driver.

  11. What files should I have?
  12.  
  13.      The distribution .zip file contains the following files:
  14.  
  15.         readme.txt      this file
  16.         cap2.exe        executable file
  17.         printere.fih    file with a sample printer definitions
  18.  
  19.      You also need
  20.         VBRUN200.DLL    not included, you can find it on most BBS
  21.         NWNETAPI.DLL    from Novell Netware, usually installed in
  22.                         \WINDOWS or in \WINDOWS\SYSTEM.
  23.         NWCALLS.DLL     from Novell Netware, same place as NWNETAPI.DLL

  25. Installation:
  26.      Installation is simple!
  27.      Place CAP2 in any place on the server or on your local disk.
  28.      Add CAP2 to windows program manager.
  29.      
  30.      Lets say you placed CAP2 in PUBLIC.

  32.      klick on:
  33.          File
  34.          New program
  35.      command line: Z:\PUBLIC\CAP2 [config file]
  36.  
  37.      Use an editor to edit Z:\PUBLIC\PRINTER.FIH to suite your needs.

  39.      You can also set an dos environment variable called CAP2 to the path
  40.      of the config file. Like this in autoexec.bat

  42.      SET CAP2=Z:\PUBLIC\PRINTER.FIH

  44.      Config file priority:
  45.         1. command line in icon
  46.         2. dos env. CAP2
  47.         3. S:\prog\fih\printere.fih

  49. How do I use lpt4-9 ?
  50.      Use a editor to edit your win.ini file.
  51.      in the [Ports] section add 
  52.         LPT4:=
  53.         LPT5:=
  54.         LPT6:=
  55.         LPT7:=
  56.         LPT8:=
  57.         LPT9:=
  58.      and in NET.CFG add this line to Netware DOS Requester section
  59.         network printers = 9
  60.      reboot your computer
  61.      (lpt4-9 works only in windows, dos can only use lpt1-3)

  63. New to version 2.50:
  64.      Can place print into User HOLD.
  65.      When a queue is not found on default server, try to find it on 
  66.      a nother server, as specified in SERVERS= line.
  67.      Now CAP2 also uses NWCalls.dll for some functions.

  69. Disclimer:
  70.      CAP2 is distributed as "as it is".
  71.      It is tested on a Novell Netware 3.12, 4.10 (BINDERY EMUL) and on
  72.      Portable Netware 1.11e using VLM version 1.20.

  75.      CAP2 is not free software!  You are granted a limited 
  76.      license to try out CAP2 for 30 days to see if it suits 
  77.      your needs. After 30 days you must either remove this 
  78.      software from your computer or send in a registration fee 
  79.      of $10 to the author.
